Moreover, why not have some company along the way?
Here are some of my favorite sites and blogs that are taking on this challenge throughout the month of March and the rest of the year:

Every week we use this space to feature a recycled note or three from some of our favorite online sources. This week I found an Etsy shop specializing in cards comprised of 100% recycled paper embedded with wildflower, sunflower, spruce and clover seeds. All of the cards sporting the aforementioned seeds can be purchased at Grace Graphics, and my three favorites from the shop are listed below.
Bouquet Of Three

Plant these cards and they grow a gorgeous garden of wildflowers! Yep, that’s right! The seeds are in the paper. The ultimate card for the eco-conscious gift giver!
This set of 3 cards on handmade peach tinted paper is embedded with a blend of wildflower seeds that will grow most anywhere.

This 5 Minutes For Going Green Great Green Review is brought to you by Pacific Northwest resident and new mom, Jenifer of Quarter Life Crisis. Read what she thought of her very comprehensive trial of Bummas, and then read on for details on how you can win a set for yourself!
When we found out I was pregnant with our first child last year, my husband and I decided early on that we were both committed to raising our baby as green as possible, which naturally led us down the predominantly-paved-in-plastic path to cloth diapering. When looking at the pros and cons of disposable versus cloth diapering, the decision to embrace the latter lifestyle was pretty much a no-brainer for us.

For the past few weeks, my family has been preparing for a big move. We are not moving down the street or to the next town, but instead across the country.
During our lives here in our current home, we fortunately did not accumulate a lot of “stuff,” but much of what we have will not be traveling with us. We have decided that the memories created with some of our personal belongings are not worth the expense and time of packing them up and hauling them across country. Don’t get me wrong, we are a sentimental family, but my days of holding onto my lost baby teeth (I kept them way into my college years), have been replaced with a more common sense mentality of only keeping what I am going to use eventually, preferably sometime this year.

Here are some of our favorite posts from around the greenosphere that had us thinking this week, to help start your weekend a bit greener.
Monday Dot Green featured an audiovisual slide show centered on “A Planet in Flux.”
Andrew C. Revkin began exploring the human impact on the environment nearly 30 years ago. An early stop was Papeete, Tahiti. This narrated slide show describes his extensive travels.
Tuesday was a historic and momentous occasion, no matter who you voted for in November. Want to know what’s on the green docket during President Obama’s administration? Tree Hugger has a post highlighting the official White House policy on energy and the environment.

The holidays are behind us, and we’re moving into the time of year when lots of people are facing the daunting twin tasks of finding places to put all the Christmas presents and getting ready to do some serious Spring cleaning.
If you’re like me, you may even have made a New Year’s resolution that seemed like a good idea at the time, but now seems a bit daunting: “Take care of the clutter problem.”
I suspect de-cluttering is harder for those of us who hate to add things to the waste stream. The thought of putting something into a landfill that someone else might get use out of is bothersome, but how do we find someone who needs or wants our old stuff?
