We Have Arrived

We have been working hard. So very hard, and there have been people not sleeping and versions and revisions flying madly back and forth, but now we can finally share this secret with you. This very green, very special and very important secret. Our new baby, 5 Minutes for Going Green has arrived!

It all started when 5 Minutes for Mom co-founders Janice and Susan had a vision for the future. That vision included expanding their highly successful blog to add sister sites for specific topics that moms (and others!) are interested in, searching for. Thirsting for. Today marks the day that 4 such sites (with more to come) are launching simultaneously. 5 Minutes for Books, 5 Minutes for Parenting and 5 Minutes for Special Needs along with this site, are ready to bring you delicious content from incredible writers that will keep you refreshing your screen all day long, just hoping for that next post to show up.

So the question is, why go green? Why is this site so important, and why should you care?

While the green wave may seem trendy, the truth is that it’s more important than ever. We were put in charge of this Earth, and of maintaining it’s beauty and resources, and we haven’t been doing a very good job. Water is not unlimited, clean earth and soil is not unlimited, and providing a clean place for our children’s children to live is of vital importance. And it’s not going to happen unless we all start making changes. Today.

Going green is not a destination–it’s a journey. Together we can do a little bit each day to sustain our planet and clean up our lives, because even a small change can make a big difference. Our world is a gift, and taking care of it can be fun, fulfilling and easier than ever. No matter where you are at in life, or in this journey, green looks good on everyone.

Welcome to 5 Minutes for Going Green! We have a few posts here to get you started and to see what we’ll be up to here at 5M4GG. Thanks for stopping by and please spread the word!

    @Monica–It’s all smoke and mirrors, there is no energy here!

    @mod*mom–maybe it’s a baby IN a backpack?
