Today is little Maddie’s funeral, and in remembrance her parents have asked everyone to sport a bit of purple for the day, in memory of a beautiful little girl who left this world too soon, but left it brighter, warmer.
For this week’s Recycled Note Of The Week I wanted to sport a bit of purple, too, and so here are some lovely cards of the purple persuasion that happen to be made from recycled materials, too.

5 pretty blank cards, screenprinted using a Gocco machine with a vintage copperplate engraving of a blackberry in purple ink. The cards are blank inside for your own message – ideal for a thank you or birthday card, or just to say hello!
Each manilla card is size A11 (6 x 4″, 145 x 104mm) and 100% recycled from post-consumer waste.
Your cards will come carefully packaged and protected in a clear bag made from corn starch which is fully biodegradable and compostable.
Recycled Vintage Map Stationary, Purple
The flat note cards measure 5.5 in x 4.25 in and are made from fine white linen card stock, which has a nice cross-weave texture that makes writing a pleasure. Each card has a border of bright purple on front and back, which coordinates with colors in the maps.
The envelopes are made from a recycled vintage world map, produced by the National Geographic Society in 1970. They are slightly larger than 5.5 x 4.25 and have my signature scallop flaps.
The cards and envelopes are bound with a pretty paper belly band and packaged in a cello bag for protection. A colorful, eco-friendly way to send mail! Perfect for your favorite travel enthusiast or environmentally-minded friends.
