Recycled Note Of The Week: Great Job On That Thing You Did

Once a week we use this space to feature a recycled note or three from some of our favorite online sources. This week I found the perfect card to say congratulations! for pretty much any job or deed well done.

I’m thinking of sending it to the next person who tells me a really great joke.

Great Job On That Thing You Did

“Great job on that thing you did. Really super.”

Designed by Be a Decent Human Being for Sycamore Street Press.

– Letterpress printed in orange and light turquoise soy ink.
– 20% cotton paper gives a nice impression.
– 100% recycled, 30% PCW orange envelope with European pointed flap.
– Slipped into a cellophane bag for protection. you can recycle this as a separate envelope!
– Size: A2. cards: 4.25 x 5.5″. envelopes: 4 3/8 x 5.75″.

I print these cards one at a time, one color at a time on my vintage Vandercook letterpress, so that they have the gorgeous texture and impression that is characteristic of this nostalgic printing technique.

It’s kind of funny in its genericness.

Reminds me of one of my favourite t-shirt designs that simply says “Team Building Exercise ’99”:
