Here are some of our favorite posts from around the greenosphere this week, to help start your weekend a bit greener.

Monday Inhabitat announced that MIO will be releasing a new green outdoor line for Target, set to be available in stores April 12th. The product assortment includes eight outdoor items made from recycled and renewable materials including a watering can, trowel, cultivator, weeder, mini herb garden, solar lights, hammock and composter ranging in price from $7.99 – $99.99.

Tuesday Dot Earth ran an informative article on climate change and its immediate and long term effects on polar bears. Here’s an excerpt from the article to wet your polar bear palate (And no, I’m not advocating eating polar bears. Or hugging them.):

I also reached out to Steven C. Amstrup, the senior polar bear scientist with the United States Geological Survey. Dr. Amstrup has done field work on polar bears for decades and wrote the report recommending that they be federally listed as threatened. He attended the meeting in Tromso, Norway. I asked him about the critiques of forecasts of the polar bear’s demise by analysts who point to the rise in bear numbers since hunting was restricted in Arctic countries.

Wednesday Eco Localizer asked “Who Owns the Rain?” Anyone collecting rainwater might be interested to know that in a few states, collecting rainwater isn’t exactly legal.

Thursday Haute Nature featured an Etsy shop specializing in repurposing old skateboards and transforming them into awesomely unique belt buckles, pocket mirrors, and jewelry. Rest assured these pieces are affordable and adorable, but really you don’t have to take my word for it. Visit Seven Ply and see for yourself!

Thursday Tree Hugger also featured an interesting slideshow of “China’s Stunning Green Buildings.

Saturday is Earth Hour 2009. At 8:30pm local time wherever you happen to be on this earth, you can join the world wide movement to conserve power for one teensy tiny hour.
